I want to thank you for the excellent work you and your team did on the Pen Marc’h project. We were concerned from the beginning that the multilevel stone patio and self supporting arches would be problematic, but you came in on time and on budget and things look great. Please thank Geraldo; the selection and placement of the stones, particularly around the fireplace is very artistic. Oh, and by the way we’ve been using the fireplace and the smoke goes up the chimney like it is supposed to (this has not always been our experience).

We spent two years looking for a home on the Cape. We wanted something nice, with character, and move-in ready. Our realtor showed us a wonderful house that Cape Coastal Builders/Peter Hopple had redone. Though that house wasn’t quite right for us, its quality craftsmanship was exactly what we wanted, so we started talking to Peter about a possible project. We shifted our search strategy, looking for a place to rehab or a suitable lot for new construction. We found a 1945 cottage on a great piece of land that had not been upgraded since it was built. We worked with Peter on a total reconstruction that turned the 1,500 square foot cottage into an airy, modern, 2,700 square foot home. It was a terrific experience. Peter was professional, honest, and fun to work with. Our house gets glowing compliments from neighbors who watched the transformation as well as first-time visitors. Peter and the whole team at Cape Coastal Builders respected the character of the cottage, never cut corners, and paid attention to all the details that help make it the home we weren’t sure we’d ever find.

We selected Peter to build our new home on an Airpark after interviewing a number of builders, on the basis of his attitude and personality, and what we saw of the other houses that he had built. Overall it proved to be anexcellent choice, as the construction went very well, and he and his workforce were flexible, helpful and effective.

Peter worked well with our architect, ensuring that the house turned out just as we wanted, and proactively working to avoid a number of potential problems. Without his understanding of what we really wanted, we would not have ended up with such a well built house.

We are writing this letter to once again thank you for everything you did in building our new house at Duxbury beach. Many people we know had horror stories about working with contractors, we honestly felt like we did not have any problems. Working with you was more like having friends building our dream home.

We assumed that living out of state during a construction project as large as this one would cause many problems, Both Peter and Tripp kept us up to date with job site photos and a detailed calendar of decisions we needed to make. Even after we added a couple minor items to the project we came in under budget and through up to date invoicing we knew every penny we gave CCB was accounted for. The jobsite was so clean that one of the neighbors who spoke out against the project to the original planning board meeting asked us for your contact information at the end of the project.

We love showing our home. CCB met our goals and exceeded our expectations for this project. We have had several compliments on the craftsmanship and details in the home. Someone even asked if this was the builders show home. Any time you would like to take someone through the house we would we would be proud to show them our retirement dream home.

In January of 2010 my wife and I decided that we needed to expand our home since we were expecting our second child in June of 2010. We were uncertain whether or not it made any sense take on a project like this with such a small window of time that we had to work with. We met with a few different builders and walked through numerous additions of a similar caliber to what we were hoping to do ourselves. Peter assured us that if we could move out of our house and hand him the keys for two months that he could finish it in that time. He promised he would have us back by May 30th if we moved out April 1st. I can’t even remember how many neighbors and friends told us that no builder could ever pull off a remodel like that in such a short period of time. I too was a bit nervous.

Right from the start Peter was absolutely on top of every detail and the lines of communication were much better than I was expecting. I received a daily schedule so I knew who was going in and out of our home on any given day. This was very comforting. Peter made mention towards late April that he thought he could get us back in by May 15th. My wife and I were shocked to hear this and were ecstatic to get back to our new home with a few extra weeks to spare.

We couldn’t have been happier with our experience using Cape Coastal Builders. Our project came in under his proposed budget and it was finished in record time. I have since recommended him to friends and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I have also let Peter know that he is more than welcome to show potential clients our home and speak with us about our experience.
